Following the evacuation of the residents of Rafah in preparation for a military operation and the ongoing escalation in the area, the shekel weakened against the foreign currencies this morning: the dollar is now strengthening by more than half a percent to NIS 3.75, while the euro is strengthening against the shekel by about 0.8% and is trading above NIS 4.02. The representative rate of the dollar was set on Friday at NIS 3.723, while the euro rate was set at NIS 3.994.
