Six months after launching enforcement-camera-equipped fast lanes on Tel Aviv’s Ayalon highway, authorities are preparing a new phase that would permit private drivers to use ‘rich lanes’ for free if travelling with three or more passengers. The current system has removed approximately 6,000 vehicles daily from regular lanes, though plastic barriers have disrupted some bus routes.
