The Let Live Live association has launched a crowdfunding campaign on its Facebook page under the title "Bringing the truth to light", the goal of which is to establish a department that will be responsible for investigations and expose stories of animal abuse to the public.
In recent times, more and more cases of animal abuse have been published, including a kennel that was closed due to horrible conditions in Tzur Moshe and the arrest of people who harmed street animals. Most of these cases are exposed by the animal associations, which invest money and resources in the matter in view of poor treatment by the government ministries responsible for the field.
Sometimes the associations that turn to the responsible offices with a request for assistance or bring to their attention suspicions of unusual situations, do not receive a response for a long time. According to collected data, in 2020, less than 1% of the Ministry of Agriculture's budget was allocated to supervision and enforcement operations, and the unfortunate animals are paying the price.
Yael Arkin, CEO of Let Live Live, explains: "With the help of people's donations, we can continuously and permanently take care of rescuing animals from abuse and expose the horrible acts in those industries that see these poor animals as money bills and nothing else."
