Cadence Design Systems, Inc. announced the launch of the Cadence® MillenniumTM Enterprise Multiphysics Platform, a performance-accelerated hardware/software Digital Twin platform that serves as a multiphysics system design and analysis solution. Targeting one of the most significant opportunities to improve performance and efficiency, the first-generation Cadence Millennium M1 system accelerates high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Available in a cloud configuration or on-premise.
This total solution combines graphics processing units (GPUs) from leading vendors, ultra-fast connections, and the Cadence high-fidelity CFD software suite optimized for GPU acceleration and Generative AI. Millennium M1 units can be integrated into a unified cluster, which allows customers to reach unprecedented schedules of one day, and almost linear scalability in simulations of complex mechanical systems.
Designing mechanical systems to reach new levels of performance and efficiency has become a major priority in the automotive, space and defense, energy and turbo machine based mechanization industries. For example, in order to optimize performance and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, automotive engineers are focused on improving fuel efficiency, reducing wear and noise, and extending the driving range of electric vehicles. Increasing efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and reducing the frequency of required maintenance are at the top of the considerations of design engineers in the space, defense, and turbo machine-based mechanization industries. Innovations in multiphysics simulation technology are critical to achieving these goals. Performance, accuracy, content and accelerated computing power are essential to enable Digital Twin simulations, which explore more design innovations, and provide a higher degree of confidence that solutions will perform as expected before moving to prototype development and testing.
