A drop of milk is on its way to populations that do not get vaccinated: The Ministry of Health has concluded the tender for the operation of mobile services of a drop of milk that will provide developmental tests, growth monitoring and vaccinations to the ultra-Orthodox population around Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh and the Bedouin populations there, a high percentage of which are unvaccinated.
In Israel, a long-term deal is not ruled out: "We don't talk about it publicly, also for political reasons"

The Ministry of Health has been working on the mobility project for many months and these days the bidding process for the companies that will operate the home milk drop services is ending. Each mobile has examination rooms similar to stationary milk drops, and they will be operated by milk drop specialist nurses.
The mobiles will be fully equipped with all the accessories found in a drop of milk, which include vaccine refrigerators, testing accessories, and computers connected online to the Ministry of Health's computers and the HMOs. In their examination, the nurses will also include growth monitoring, parent briefing, detection of cases of postpartum depression or suspected domestic violence, and of course vaccinations.
A senior official at the Ministry of Health told "Maariv" that the mobiles will first be operated in the Beit Shemesh area and the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev. These populations have a high rate of absence from milk drop tests and follow-ups, and a high percentage of unvaccinated. According to the source, the findings of the Ministry of Health showed that the more children there are in the family, the more difficult it is to visit the milk drop, and the rate of absences from the tests increases.
The Ministry of Health also stated that in the event of an outbreak of infectious diseases, it will be possible to activate additional mobility or route the existing mobility to vaccinate additional areas where there is an outbreak. As mentioned, the tender is now in the final stages. With the selection of the operator, 45 days will be given for final organization, and if there are no surprises, the project should be launched before the summer.
