This morning (Sunday), an aerial plane carrying one hundred and fifty new construction workers from Sri Lanka landed in Israel. The workers came to help restore the construction industry, which was severely damaged by the war.

This is another Arkia flight that arrives with foreign workers. Last December, the company flew to Israel, workers from the East African country of Malawi. The move to bring in the workers was done in cooperation with the Division for Bilateral Agreements, at the Population and Immigration Authority, headed by Shirlene Raisin Sassoon.
