Two children were admitted to hospitals in critical condition following separate traffic incidents in southern Israel. An eight-year-old boy was struck by a bus on Route 316 in the Negev region and was rushed to Soroka Medical Centre. The driver involved in the incident was arrested several hours later.
In a separate incident, a 12-year-old girl sustained injuries while riding a bicycle. Emergency services attended both scenes, with resuscitation efforts undertaken for the girl involved in the cycling accident.
Both cases highlight ongoing concerns about traffic safety involving minors in Israel’s southern regions.
