An alert regarding suspected terrorist infiltration at the Avitar settlement in Samaria was resolved on Monday when the Israel Defence Forces confirmed the suspected individual was an Israeli citizen. The IDF spokesman announced that following the initial security alert, investigation determined there was no security threat.
The military clarified that no hostile incident had occurred and that the alert procedures were discontinued once the individual’s identity was verified. This incident highlights ongoing security vigilance in West Bank settlements, though in this case proved to be a false alarm.
