Israeli police have arrested a 19-year-old from Samaria suspected of participating in riots in Hawara, following days of investigation into violent clashes in the Palestinian town.

The suspect was apprehended at a construction site in Beit El, where he had been hiding since fleeing the scene. The arrest comes after dozens of rioters were reported to have barricaded themselves in a Palestinian home with residents inside.

This represents the first arrest related to the Hawara disturbances, with investigations ongoing into the wider incident.
