Five people were injured in a road accident on Friday evening involving three vehicles on Route 65 near Umm al-Fahm, a predominantly Arab town in northern Israel. Magen David Adom paramedics provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting all five casualties to Emek Medical Centre in Afula. Two of the injured sustained moderate injuries, whilst three sustained light injuries. The circumstances of the collision are not yet clear, though emergency services responded quickly to the incident. Route 65 is a major north-south thoroughfare in the region and has been the site of numerous traffic accidents in recent years.
