The organizers of the protest against the legal reform are preparing for another huge demonstration tomorrow for the 17th time in a row, which will be held at 19:30 at the intersection of Azrieli and Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv, at the same time as other demonstrations in more than 150 different locations throughout the country.
The organizers predict that more than 100,000 people will come to the demonstration in Tel Aviv this time, and the police are preparing for the night with increased forces on the ground in all the centers of the demonstrations throughout the country, with an emphasis on the demonstration being prepared in the center of Tel Aviv, this in order to prevent the demonstrators from blocking the Ayalon routes at its end of the demonstration.
The headquarters of the academic struggle against the legal revolution announced that senior Israeli academics, including Nobel Prize winners, Israel Prize winners, presidents and rectors of universities and colleges in the past and present, will present themselves and speak at all the main centers of the demonstrations tomorrow evening. The statement of the headquarters stated that "the conduct of the coalition indicates a lack of good faith in the negotiations, and the fear of a governmental coup remains tangible. Politicization of the judicial system will undermine democracy whose values are necessary for the academy's contribution to society." At the demonstration in Tel Aviv Prof. Aharon Chachanover – winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry will speak, Prof. Uriel Reichman – president and founder of Reichman University will come to Netanya, and in Haifa Prof. Moti Segev – winner of the Israel Prize for Physics will speak.
In the meantime, ahead of the opening of the Knesset's summer session, the headquarters of the reserve struggle yesterday hung 140 salami sausages around the house of the chairman of the state camp party, MK Benny Gantz, as the number of the "crazy coup" laws, according to them, as well as signs with the inscription: "Benny, El Eat the salami" and "We will not swallow a dictatorship using the salami method". They added: "We are very worried that Gantz will not stand firm against the included gang, and will agree to an outline that will severely erode democracy. There is no place for innocence in the face of the mafia."
Today, several protest organizations intend to demonstrate in front of the homes of ministers and Knesset members from the coalition.
