Israeli police have arrested a fourth suspect in an ongoing investigation into alleged abuse at the “Lutzik” daycare centre in Ariel. The latest arrest involves an additional caregiver as authorities expand their inquiry into the suspected mistreatment of toddlers.
Investigators have documented over 200 incidents of violence against children at the facility. Due to the large volume of evidence, police have expanded the team assigned to review video recordings of the alleged abuse.
The daycare director and three caregivers are expected to be brought before a court today for hearings on the extension of their detention. The investigation represents one of the most serious allegations of institutional abuse of young children in Israel in recent years.
