A French television channel has apologised and removed a documentary segment after it depicted Tel Aviv as the target of a nuclear missile strike. The controversial footage, which was part of a film about the French weapons industry, showed a missile launch and explosion over Tel Aviv.
Israeli Ambassador to France Joshua Zarkas shared the clip on social media platform X, drawing attention to the offensive content. The broadcaster subsequently issued an apology and announced the removal of the segment, confirming it would present a corrected version of the documentary in future broadcasts.
The incident highlights sensitivities around depictions of Israeli cities in international media, particularly regarding nuclear scenarios in the Middle Eastern context.
