Givatayim court backs property owners against reluctant residents in renewal project

The Tel Aviv District Court ruled that four residents’ refusal to sign a demolition-and-renewal agreement on Hamaavak Street in Givatayim was unreasonable and rejected their discrimination claims against the compensation offered. Judge Limor Bibi ordered the residents to sign within 30 days or face having their lawyer sign on their behalf. The project involves demolishing 32 apartments to build new units.
