Guy Peleg opened his show on radio 103FM at noon today (Sunday) with a sharp statement against the conduct of the Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu : "There are the members of the cabinet, the position of the security apparatus, and there is Netanyahu with his natural partners Ben Gabir and Smotrich. There were those who did not believe, who doubted, who were angry at the very claim that Netanyahu would prefer his political survival over the return of the abductees. Now it seems to me, we can say that this is a fact. There is a deal, but Netanyahu is taking his time, spreading it out. Now that things are sharpening, his position is clear, his preference is clear."
Peleg's words correspond well with the statements of the families of the abductees who claimed not long ago that Netanyahu was preventing the deal on purpose, and who demonstrated last night near his home in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. "We know Netanyahu very well personally, it was said on behalf of some of the protest organizations last night in Kaplan calling for the overthrow of the government, the thing that scares him the most is angry crowds in the streets."
To statements of this kind, political activist member Hadar Segal, saying that "the era of politeness is over. The era of struggle has begun. This is a turning point in which the public says enough is enough for the promiscuity of the Netanyahu government. Those who fail must return. The abductees must return. Those who brought about the disaster must go."
