Cleaning company organisations have alerted the Health Ministry and major hospitals including Clalit, Hadassah and Shaare Zedek to critical staff shortages that risk patient safety. According to Professor Itamar Grotto, increased cleaning resources could prevent up to 17,000 infections annually and save approximately one billion sheqels, though the Health Ministry contests reports of increased infection rates.
