The Israeli military and Shin Bet security agency announced on Tuesday that they had attacked three Hamas weapons storage facilities across Gaza on Thursday of the previous week. According to the IDF statement, the caches contained dozens of weapons including rockets, RPG launchers, Kalashnikov rifles and additional combat equipment.

The IDF reported that advance warnings were issued to the civilian population before the strikes and measures were taken to minimise civilian harm. The operation is part of ongoing Israeli military efforts against Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
