IDF has intensified pressure on Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, achieving an average of 2-3 field commander and operative eliminations daily. Security sources indicate that several eliminated operatives were en route to carry out attacks against the IDF.

The heightened alert reflects Israeli security concerns about potential militant escalation during a sensitive electoral period, with the military taking preemptive action against identified threats.
