Two IDF soldiers sustained serious to moderate wounds during a military operation in the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred when a soldier improperly threw a grenade during operational activity, resulting in injuries to both the thrower and another soldier in the vicinity.

The injured soldiers were evacuated to hospital for treatment. The IDF is investigating the circumstances of the grenade discharge and whether the weapon detonated due to impact with an object in close proximity to the force.

In a separate incident, eight soldiers sustained minor injuries in a vehicle accident during operational activity in southern Lebanon on the same day.
