IDF strikes Hamas successor candidate Ali al-Amoudi in Gaza overnight operation

Breaking

The Israeli Defence Force conducted an overnight strike targeting Ali al-Amoudi, a senior Hamas official considered by many to be the successor to Yahya Sinwar, according to Palestinian reports. The strike hit a residential building in western Gaza City.

Al-Amoudi previously served as head of Yahya Sinwar’s media office and currently functions as the head of Hamas’s political bureau in the Gaza Strip. He is considered close to Sinwar and to Khalil al-Haya, the new Hamas leader. Palestinian sources report at least five casualties from the airstrike on the building.

Both Ynet and Israel Hayom reported the operation, with sources largely aligned on the target’s identity and position within the Hamas hierarchy. The strike represents a significant operation against Hamas’s leadership structure in Gaza.
