The Israeli Defence Force has announced the discovery of more than 150 weapons caches in a designated security area of southern Lebanon during the past month. According to an IDF spokesperson, troops from the 401st Divisional Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division command, have established operational control over the village of Hadatha within the security zone where Israeli forces are conducting operations. The weapons seizures represent a significant find as Israeli forces continue their presence in southern Lebanon following the ceasefire agreement that went into effect earlier this year. The discovery underscores ongoing concerns about militant groups maintaining hidden arsenals in the region, despite international agreements governing military activities in the area. The IDF indicated that the operation was part of broader efforts to secure and monitor the designated buffer zone separating Israel from areas previously controlled by Hezbollah and other armed groups.
