Independence 2024: events and trips for the whole family

Independence Day this year will not be accompanied by big celebrations, but it offers us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature – just before it gets too hot. We have compiled for you all the activities and trips that await you on the special day:

As every year on Independence Day, the Council for the Preservation of Sites and the Ministry of Heritage invites travelers to 76 heritage sites and take part in a variety of free events and activities. The 76 sites that will open their doors on Independence Day bring key chapters from the story that makes up the Israeli mosaic of all of us: the immigrants to the Land of Israel, the pioneers, the fighters throughout the struggle for the establishment of the state and its security since its establishment, leaders and key figures in Israel's history and others.
Among the activities: guided tours, public singing, children's shows, sessions in a pioneering spirit, creative workshops, meetings with artists and writers, introductions to games and objects of the past, audiovisual performances and more. A special giant sign will be placed at each of the sites, on which visitors can write down what they wish for the country on Independence Day.
Detailed information on all activities can be found on the website of the Council for the Preservation of Sites .
