Iran rejects US proposal and issues threat of ‘unlimited geographic’ response

Breaking

Iran has rejected a US proposal on nuclear negotiations, according to reports from Al Arabiya, with Tehran demanding full compliance with seven conditions it has set. Washington had indicated agreement with a proposal through Qatari mediators, but Iranian officials told Reuters that the sides remain far apart from reaching an agreement.

An Iranian source stated that any response would have ‘no geographic boundaries’, escalating tensions amid concerns about renewed fighting. The rejection comes in the context of a recent US strike on Qassem Island and fears of renewed military escalation in the region.

The negotiations appear to be stalled, with significant gaps remaining between the positions of both sides. Iran’s hardline stance and threatening rhetoric suggest deteriorating prospects for diplomatic resolution in the near term.
