A senior Iranian military official has issued a stark warning to countries across the Middle East, threatening that any nation aiding the United States will be consumed by regional conflict. Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya air defence headquarters, made the inflammatory remarks on Saturday, accusing Washington of escalating tensions across the region at an accelerating pace.Abdollahi claimed that the United States is exploiting the financial resources, infrastructure and strategic assets of Middle Eastern nations to prop up what he described as an exhausted American military and strengthen Israel. He called on Muslim-majority countries in the region to reconsider their cooperation with the United States, framing such partnerships as complicity in American foreign policy. The Iranian commander delivered a blunt ultimatum to regional governments, stating that any country positioning itself as a shield for what he termed the “criminal and aggressive” United States would be engulfed by the flames of war. The rhetoric reflects Iran’s long-standing opposition to American military presence in the Middle East and underscores heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington over regional conflicts, particularly regarding Israel and ongoing instability in Iraq, Syria and other neighbouring areas.
