Two men pulled from sea in critical condition at Israeli beaches

Two men were rescued from the water at separate Israeli beaches on Saturday in what appears to be a coordinated emergency response involving multiple rescue teams. A 71-year-old man got into difficulty while swimming at Netanya beach and was pulled from the water in a critical condition. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics immediately began emergency medical treatment and resuscitation efforts before transporting him to Laniado Hospital, where he remains in serious condition. Meanwhile, roughly 40 kilometres south, a 40-year-old man was rescued from Herzliya beach after losing consciousness in the water. He was pulled unconscious from the sea and MDA teams provided emergency medical care and performed resuscitation procedures at the scene. Both cases highlight the unpredictability of swimming hazards along Israel’s Mediterranean coast and the critical importance of rapid emergency response in drowning incidents.
