Israeli elections show inconclusive results as vote count continues overnight

Breaking

Israel’s elections have produced an inconclusive outcome with vote counting continuing through the night, according to the Central Elections Committee. As of the latest update, results from 128 polling stations representing 29,379 voters have been processed, with real-time results continuing to flow into the committee’s control centre.

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared victory at Likud headquarters, stating “Likud is the largest party in Israel,” while opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot claimed “we made history.” However, updated exit polls suggest a far less optimistic picture for the change bloc as final counts progress.

Netanyahu declared “whoever wants to can join – without rotation” in what analysts interpret as a signal to potential coalition partners. The results leave Israel facing complex coalition negotiations with multiple scenarios possible, including the potential for additional elections if a stable government cannot be formed.

International media outlets including the New York Times, CNN, Reuters and The Guardian have noted the ambiguous outcome, with most reporting that no single bloc has achieved a clear majority and the results remain far from conclusive.
