The Israeli Defence Force has eliminated three armed Hezbollah operatives in the Bayt Yahun area of southern Lebanon. The militants were identified earlier on Wednesday by the 869th Battalion under the command of Division 91, operating within Israel’s designated security zone in the region.
Following the identification, troops from the 401st Brigade moved quickly to neutralise the three operatives, who were carrying combat equipment. The operation was conducted to eliminate what the IDF described as an imminent threat to forces operating in the nearby area.
The strike is part of ongoing Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon, where the IDF has maintained a significant presence following escalations with Hezbollah. The militant group, which is designated as a terrorist organisation by Israel and several Western nations, has been engaged in cross-border attacks from Lebanese territory.
