An Israeli lawyer has been charged with illegal contact with a foreign agent and obstruction of legal proceedings, according to indictments filed by the Central District Prosecutor’s Office. The attorney was arrested approximately two and a half weeks ago as part of a joint investigation by the Shin Bet security service and police on suspicion of security offences.
Multiple Israeli sources (Ynet and Walla) confirm the court has authorised publication of the case details. The Prosecutor’s Office requested that the lawyer remain in detention until completion of legal proceedings against her.
