An Israeli citizen aged 35 has been found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. The married father of one was discovered unresponsive in his room on Saturday evening whilst on holiday in the Thai capital. The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been disclosed. The Israeli authorities have launched procedures to repatriate his body for burial in Israel. The international division of ZAKA, Israel’s volunteer search and rescue organisation, is coordinating with local Thai authorities, the Israeli Foreign Ministry, and representatives of Chabad in Thailand to facilitate the release of his remains and arrange transport back to Israel. Officials are working to complete the repatriation process as quickly as possible so that funeral arrangements can proceed. An investigation into the cause of death is expected to follow.
