Likud petitions to ban Arab-majority parties from elections

Netanyahu’s Likud party has announced it will petition Israel’s election panel to disqualify Arab-majority parties Ra’am and the Joint List, claiming they harm IDF soldiers and refuse to designate Hamas and Hezbollah as terror organisations. Legal experts consider the petition unlikely to succeed, as Israel’s High Court has rejected similar attempts in the past.
