Ahmad al-Rajjub, a 23-year-old from Ramla, is being questioned over the killing of lawyer Arbel Feldman, which authorities believe stemmed from a dispute over a damages compensation payment. During police interrogation, al-Rajjub allegedly claimed to have psychiatric issues, according to a police spokesperson. The weapon used in the killing was unlicensed, police confirmed. Contrary to reports circulated the previous day, police have stated that the suspect has no prior criminal record. His defence lawyer has indicated that al-Rajjub was being considered for recruitment into the Border Police (Magav) at the time of his arrest, suggesting he had passed initial vetting procedures.
