Mysterious giant planet discovered at edge of solar system

Astronomers at the Vera Rubin Observatory in Chile identified a mysterious celestial object up to 1,500 kilometres in diameter orbiting the sun at an enormous distance of 46 astronomical units. Designated 2026 ED138, the object may rank among the brightest and largest of its kind, potentially joining the list of dwarf planets alongside Pluto.
