Netanyahu denies US military aid will cease next year under Trump agreement

Breaking

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has not denied reports that Donald Trump agreed with Netanyahu to halt American military aid beginning next year, according to Ynet. The arrangement was allegedly made without the knowledge of Israel’s security establishment or Finance Ministry.

The Prime Minister’s office stated: “The economy is strong and stable” in response to questions about the aid cessation. This represents a significant shift in US-Israel military relations, as American defence support has been a cornerstone of Israeli security strategy for decades.

The reported agreement raises questions about Israel’s long-term defence capabilities and strategic dependence, particularly given ongoing regional security challenges. Neither the Defence Ministry nor Treasury have reportedly been consulted on this arrangement according to the report.
