Sunday morning will see partly cloudy skies across Israel, with conditions clearing throughout the day to bring pleasant weather to most of the country. However, the Israeli Meteorological Service has issued a red alert warning of extreme heat stress in several regions including the Jordan Valley, southern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area and northern Arava. Red alerts are the highest warning level issued by the service and indicate potentially dangerous conditions.
The sweltering conditions will be concentrated in the eastern and southern parts of the country, creating a stark contrast with more comfortable temperatures expected in central Israel during the day. Residents in affected areas have been advised to take precautions against the severe heat, including staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
