Police chief warns National Security Minister budget dispute could cause disaster

Breaking

Police Commissioner Dani Levi warned National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Sunday at a police conference that withheld budgets could lead to a disaster. According to Levi, the disputed funds are intended to address gaps identified in police investigations into the October 7 events.

The police chief argued that the financial resources are essential for improving the police’s capacity to respond to future extreme events similar to those of October 7. This represents an escalation in the conflict between police leadership and the security ministry over budgetary allocations.
