Police investigate stabbing of teenager in East Jerusalem neighbourhood

Israeli police have launched an investigation into a stabbing incident in the Issawiya neighbourhood of East Jerusalem on Monday. A 17-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries in the attack and made his own way to hospital for medical treatment. Officers from the Shalom station in the Jerusalem district were dispatched to the scene, where they began gathering evidence and questioning witnesses about the circumstances of the incident.

According to initial investigation findings, the stabbing appears to have stemmed from a family dispute.
