Reservists struggle with mental health after months of service

A survey of participants in the ‘Ziv Reserves’ programme found that 88% reported reduced stress levels from military activity, yet 84% still feel somewhat less connected to civilian society. Mental health experts note that male combatants in particular struggle to open up about their difficulties, though support programmes are helping facilitate peer sharing of experiences.
