Russia strikes industrial facility in central Ukraine, injuring two

Russia has launched a ballistic missile attack on an industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih, a major city in central Ukraine, resulting in injuries to two people, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s defence council, who announced the strike on Thursday.

Kryvyi Rih, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, is a significant industrial and manufacturing hub in Ukraine. The city has faced repeated Russian attacks throughout the conflict, targeting both military and civilian infrastructure. Ballistic missiles, which travel at high speeds and are difficult to intercept, have become a favoured weapon in Russia’s campaign against Ukrainian targets.

The strike represents the latest in a series of Russian attacks on Ukrainian industrial and infrastructure targets. Such assaults have intensified in recent months, with Moscow targeting energy facilities, transportation hubs, and manufacturing plants across the country in an apparent strategy to degrade Ukraine’s economic capacity and military production capabilities.
