Storming Columbia: The American campus is a fertile ground for new anti-Semitism

In recent days, it seems that the rampage of Palestine supporters on the campuses has reached a point where the institutions have lost the ability to enforce the law on the one hand, and there is a fear on the other hand of calling the police into the campuses to eliminate the toxic and anti-Semitic atmosphere.

Anti-Semitism in the US does not stop: President Biden chose to send a clear message

For example, the president of Columbia University, Dr. Shafiq, who is of Egyptian descent, flatly refused to classify the events taking place on her campus as anti-Semitic, in response to a question from Congresswoman Ilhan Omar earlier this week.

The university even blocked the entry of the Jewish lecturer in business administration, Prof. Shai Davidi, who works against the hostile environment on campus and the administration's fear of confronting the mob calling for the killing of Jews. What did the management do in response? Blocked Prof. Davidi's employee card and prevented him from entering the campus, as a way to deal with the problem.

At the same time, the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, a police officer in the past, tweeted and offered the help of the city to bring New York police officers to the campus, but without the permission of the university administration, the most that can be done is to increase the patrols outside the university gates.

The situation is so scary that campus rabbi Eli Bichler asked the parents to come pick up their children from school for fear that he would not be able to guarantee their safety. Such demonstrations, organized by SJP or Students for Justice in Palestine, take place on other campuses all over the US, from Miami to Ohio University, and constitute a toxic and hostile learning environment for Jewish students in general and Israelis in particular.

For many years, the activities of the "Muslim Brotherhood" in the USA have been aimed at establishing SJP cells, which will one day act against Israel on campuses. The verdict given in the federal court in Dallas in November 2008 convicted five "Charity" activists with a cumulative sentence of over 160 years for promoting a plan to the Islam of America.

However, despite the conviction, the Muslim Brotherhood in the US, in cooperation with Marxist cells, succeeded in establishing the Green-Red Alliance in 2014, which enables a cooperation called "intersection" in Hebrew or "INTERSECTIONALITY" in English. The point where the partners chose to intensify their activities is the campuses in America There, through the infusion of billions of dollars from Qatar and through the activities of the Chinese Communist Party, they turned hatred of Israel into a "cool" consumer product, and the watermelon, made up of the colors of the Palestinian flag, became a symbol of the revolution against Israel.

Since October 7, SJP cells have been active on campuses against Israel. From there also came the campaign of UNCOMMITTED, known in Hebrew as "White Paper", encompassing hundreds of thousands of voters. Pro-Palestinian student cells are motivating them to go to the polls and send a message to Biden: "Deir Balak, won't you change your ways? Forget about us in the election," or what I call the yellow card campaign. In the last week, as mentioned, the campaign was called for a step up in the drive to action of SJP to all campuses in America.

Ostensibly, we seem to be going towards a kind of loss of campuses, but I will try to argue otherwise and this is because I feel that we are facing what is called in English a "tipping point". The spread of the demonstrations to other campuses in America will be a motivation for the action of combined tools that include: legislators, security enforcement forces and voters.

what do I mean? American parents understand that the children they sent to campus with the best of their savings are going through the experience of being re-educated in a subject that is not relevant to them and at the cost of losing study hours for the possibility of staying until a criminal case is opened, and that it is no longer possible to stand by.
When adults watch videos of Generation Z students on US campuses, in which excited crowds shout without thinking about the meaning of their words, like zombie soldiers,

This causes a growing sense of impatience among the adult world. In this context, it can be said that the hourglass of those who went on the attack has turned. And the adult world is starting to react. It began with a hearing where Congresswoman Stephank from New York, who is also mentioned as Trump's deputy, questioned the president of Colombia in Kelowna. This hearing served as a second round to the hearing held earlier for the presidents of MIT, Harvard and Penn State, which ended in the dismissal of the latter two.

The shift in consciousness continued with a tweet by the Alabama senator, Britt, who called for everyone who participates in anti-Semitic chants and attacks, and is in the United States on a student visa, to be put on planes. And moving on to reactions in the Jewish world, which draw a line in the sand and say "so far." For example, the billionaire Robert Kraft, one of the biggest supporters of Columbia University, who announced the end of donations to the institution.

Many Jews call on the Democratic Party not to take their votes for granted. Here, for example, is the call of the Reform rabbi Ami Hirsch, aimed directly at the ears of the party's leaders:

The Jewish voice mainly represents significant political contributions. Over 50% of Hillary Clinton's campaign contributions came from Jews. More and more Jews are expressing their dissatisfaction with being taken for granted and sacrificed "to you" by the Democratic Party. It is important to note that Jews were a significant part of Roosevelt's "Big Tent" doctrine and pledged allegiance to the Democratic Party from the 1930s. But never resilience, like this, for example, the Siena survey , conducted among New York Jews, for example, presented a surprising figure: Trump beats Biden by a margin of 53:44, while in the 2020 election the ratio was 70:30 in favor of Biden.

The well-worn phrase "it's always darkest before the sunrise" is remarkably apt for the complex situation on campuses in the United States today. Despite the many difficulties, I believe that the current crisis will lead to significant corrections, at least when it comes to the indoctrination that students undergo in American colleges. This situation, characterized by the pouring of huge funds into campuses on the one hand and the use of psychological weapons on social networks on the other, has gotten out of control and requires a joint containment battle of concerned parents, politicians driven by public opinion, and the leadership of American Jewry, which recognizes the situation as an existential threat to the peace of their lives and their families.
