Breaking

A suspect in his 60s from East Jerusalem was arrested on Friday evening on suspicion of murder and involvement in the disappearance of Fatima al-Rajabi, 61, who had been missing since the beginning of the week. The arrest came after extensive search operations involving large police forces.

During the investigation, police discovered the body of a woman in East Jerusalem, whose identity has not yet been confirmed. The body has been transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification and determination of cause of death. According to reports, the suspect has a criminal background.

The suspect is due to be brought before the court on Saturday in a bail hearing. Family members had criticised the initial response to the missing person report, claiming that the search began later than it should have.
