Teen killer’s chilling composure: Inside the investigation into Razi murder case

Detectives investigating the murder of Binyamin Razi were struck immediately by the unusual demeanour of the 15-year-old suspect. Describing what they characterised as the composure of a hardened criminal, investigators noted a disturbing lack of emotion throughout questioning. The teenager’s apparent charisma, combined with what officers described as an eerie silence and an unsettling smile during interrogation, painted a picture of a young person fundamentally different from typical suspects of that age. According to case records, when confronted with the gravity of their actions, the accused displayed what investigators termed “complete detachment” – a complete absence of emotional response to the severity of the crime.

The investigation revealed troubling details about the suspect’s state of mind and responses to questioning. When asked about the nature of injuries that resulted in death, the teenager appeared to demonstrate clinical detachment, with responses suggesting either a lack of remorse or an alarming compartmentalisation of the crime.
