As you may recall, members of abductees' families made a statement to the media in front of the Kriya yesterday (Saturday) and once again called on the government to reach a deal for the release of their loved ones who are still in captivity in the Gaza Strip. Later, they attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu: "You are responsible for the lawlessness of the abductees. Because of you, women are raped, men are tortured and abductees are murdered. They could already be at home, but you sabotage the deal! How long Benjamin Netanyahu, how long?"
At the same time, 40 representatives from families of abductees sent a letter to the Legal Advisor to the Government Gali Beharve-Miara, demanding to re-examine the Prime Minister's competence in conducting the negotiations for the return of the abductees. This, due to their claim of suspicion of a clear conflict of interest between his public responsibility for the release of the kidnapped and his personal interests in delaying his trial and his political survival.
"After nearly six months in which we did not stop asking for our loved ones at home, we lost confidence in the ability of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to carry out his duties," the families write in the petition.
