The protest against the reform will resume tomorrow: these are the streets that will be blocked to traffic in Tel Aviv and Haifa

The protest against the planned reform of the judicial system will resume tomorrow, Saturday evening, in Tel Aviv.

Because of this, starting at 16:30 tomorrow, the following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic:

● Kaplan Street from Ibn Gvirol Street to Menachem Begin Street in both directions.

● Kaplan intersection via Menachem Begin to the north and south (traffic will be diverted to sinkholes).

● The Peace Bridge ramps will be closed to the north and south. (It will not be possible to go down to Route 20).

● Yigal Alon – Peace to the West.

● Yigal Alon – Made in Israel (vehicles will be directed to Made in Israel street).

● HaShalom – made in the country (the vehicles will be directed to the east).

● The peace – the migration of the youth to the East.

● Yigal Alon – Peace to the South.

● Yigal Alon – Yitzhak Sade to the north.

● Yitzhak Sade – the framer for the north.

It will not be possible to exit from Ben Avigdor Street to Hamsgar Street.

The streets of Migal Alon: Aminadav, Kramanitzki, Toval, Vicky Sheeran and the exit from the gas station – traffic will be allowed from HaSolim street.

The police also stated that due to the expected roadblocks, there may be large traffic congestion throughout the district.

Meanwhile, protest demonstrations are also planned to take place in the city of Haifa. Due to the procession from the center of Carmel to Horev, starting at 18:00 vehicle traffic will not be allowed on Hanasi Blvd. from the Bikurim junction towards the center of Horev in both directions.

During the procession, entry and exit from the neighborhoods of Kabir, Carmelia, and Shambor will be possible through Scopus Street and Sea Road only.

In the meantime, traffic will be blocked on the Hanasi / Moriah boulevard in the section between Bekurim / Wolfson / Zafaririm, and further on Moriah boulevard from the Zafaririm intersection to the center of Horev and the nearby streets. The traffic lanes will gradually open as the procession progresses.

Starting at 18:00 Horev intersection is expected to be blocked from all directions until the end of the protest.

The streets that will be closed to traffic:

  • Pika intersection / Horeb / Gat
  • Pika / Hadassah junction towards the center of Horeb
  • Pika / Harel junction towards the center of Horeb
  • Horev / Freud street intersection towards Horev center
  • Disraeli / Horeb intersection towards the center of Horeb
  • Mapo / Moriah junction towards the center of Horeb
  • Traffic from Safar Square towards the Horev center will be allowed up to the Mafo junction for those coming towards Carmel Hospital and residents of the neighborhood only

Access to Carmel Hospital and Harofeh Street will be possible from Freud/Vitkin/Smolenskin/Harofeh/Rank Streets only. In the section between Vitkin/Smolenskin and Harofeh Street and further on Ranak Street (entrance to Carmel Hospital), traffic will be directed by the police officers against the direction of traffic to allow free passage to the neighborhood and the hospital. Exit through Mapo Street to the left towards Safar Square. During the passage of the procession and the blocking of Mapo Moriah Street, the traffic arrangements will change for a few minutes until the opening of the roads.
