Ram Shahin, who impersonated the late Matan Liyor’s business partner and stole equipment from the Nova festival site, was sentenced to seven years in prison. The court awarded 100,000 shekels in compensation to Liyor’s parents and criticised the theft as “morally reprehensible exploitation of national tragedy for financial gain.” His accomplice received a 40-month sentence for attempting to sell the stolen property.
