A serious road accident involving four private vehicles brought traffic chaos to Route 77 near the Yishi interchange today. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (Israel’s ambulance service) treated the casualties at the scene before transporting 13 injured people to Rambam and Beilinson hospitals for further care.
Among the injured were three children who sustained varying degrees of harm. Two girls, aged five, suffered limb injuries, whilst a seven-year-old boy sustained internal injuries. A 34-year-old man also suffered multiple limb injuries and was classified as moderately injured. Nine other injured parties sustained lighter injuries in the incident.
Four of the 13 casualties were classified as moderately injured, requiring admission to hospital, whilst the remaining nine sustained minor injuries. The exact cause of the multi-vehicle collision has not yet been disclosed.
