Police forces conducting an operational activity in the Negev region opened fire on suspects during an escalating incident in Arara, a village in southern Israel. Officers identified a vehicle from which shots had allegedly been fired at another car and moved to neutralise and arrest those involved. Three men were taken to hospital with serious and moderate injuries following the police response. A handgun believed to have been used in the initial shooting was recovered at the scene. The Israel Police said in a statement that forces remained active in the area and were continuing to maintain order following the incident.
