The 6-year-old girl, a resident of a settlement near Haifa suffered from fever, vomiting and collapsed. The tragedy occurred this evening after about two days in which the girl suffered from fever and vomiting, she was taken with her father to one of the emergency medical centers. But during the trip it collapsed. The father stopped on the side of the road and began guiding the MDA center in resuscitation operations. The cause of death has not yet been determined and the hospital is awaiting the results of the blood cultures that were taken.
The MDA intensive care unit team that was called to Hever El Hav, continued intensive resuscitation operations and evacuated her to the emergency room of the Rambam Children's Hospital. For more than an hour, the medical team continued CPR, took tests. For a while it seemed that the pulse returned, but finally her condition worsened and all that was left was to determine her death.
An antigen test taken upon admission showed that she had the flu. At the hospital, they are waiting for the results of blood cultures, when according to a preliminary assessment, it is possible that one of the causes of the deterioration was a serious infection that caused a system failure.
