Two dead and ten injured in major road crash near Shorek Junction

Two people have been killed and approximately ten others injured in a serious road accident on Route 7 near Shorek Junction in central Israel on Thursday. The collision involved a minibus and a lorry, and emergency services quickly mobilised to the scene. Initial reports indicate that some of the injured were unconscious and suffered severe injuries from the impact. Magen David Adom paramedics provided initial medical treatment at the scene before transferring patients to hospital. Zaka rescue workers are continuing to operate at the scene as the investigation into the cause of the crash gets underway.
