Following the renewed arrest of draft evaders, the Peleg Jerusalem faction has announced large-scale protests across Israel in what they describe as “opposition to the desecration of Torah and its scholars.” The demonstrations are scheduled for approximately 4:00 PM.

The group stated: “Following their arrests and abandonment to the establishment, our rabbi has ordered us to take to the streets for massive protests across the country.” The protests are expected to occur in the Tel Aviv area and Jerusalem.

This marks an escalation in tensions between the ultra-Orthodox community and the Israeli establishment over military draft enforcement, following recent arrests of draft evaders.
