A 25-year-old man has died after being rescued from the water at a beach in Rishon Lezion, a coastal city south of Tel Aviv. The man was pulled from the sea in an unconscious state, prompting an immediate emergency response from paramedics and medics operating in the area.
Medical personnel from Magen David Adom, Israel’s national ambulance service, arrived quickly at the scene and began resuscitation efforts. Despite their interventions, the young man could not be revived, and he was declared dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding how he entered the water and lost consciousness remain unclear at this stage.
The incident marks another tragic drowning at Israel’s beaches, where water safety remains an ongoing concern during summer months. Rishon Lezion’s beaches are popular with locals and tourists, particularly during the warmer season when more people visit Israel’s Mediterranean coastline.
